Bill Jackson has won many international awards for his work in recent years. His photographs have been hung in many exhibitions and galleries world wide including The National Portrait Gallery, The Photographers Gallery, London, The Brno Museum, Prague and the Museum Of Contemporary Arts in Argentina. He was selected to be the artist for the Aldeburgh International Poetry Festival 2103 as part of their 25th anniversary.
He works only using ambient light and timed exposures which are an integral aesthetic to his approach to photography. Using 6 x 6 and 5 x 4 digital camera systems, he explores ideas in and out of his studio, a converted 17thC dairy on his Suffolk smallholding he shares with his wife and a variety of livestock including Alpacas.
An important part of his art practice are his concerns with printing and print quality, and he is often sought out by other artists and photographers to print their work for editions and exhibitions. He is the first photographer as far as records show, to receive three RPS International Print Awards consecutively and was invited to be a selector for the RPS International Print Awards for 2013. His work is in many private and public collections.
‘Jackson has a very extensive cv that includes lots of solo and group exhibitions as well as an impressive list of rewards which suggests that he is definitely an artist worth investing in’
