Photographic records of the erosion of prior glory is a big trend in the Art world at the moment. Jasper records some of Tasmania and Detroit's former glories.
Jasper was born in Perth, Western Australia. He draws inspiration from all periods of Art, his favourite artists are Banksy and Von wong and TCB his favourite Photographer. Working predominantly in long exposure photography in often pitch black locations, Jasper da Seymour uses illumination/light painting techniques to bring forth the grungy beauty that the locations he visits hold. Jasper's work has featured in several group and solo exhibitions held in Australia.
Jasper's dream is; "To see all the beauty left behind in all the neglected corners of the world, to document and immortalise locations that will never be seen again. The hardest locations to get are the ones most worth seeing." His work demonstrates this curiosity which you feel through the originality of his images and his obvious exploration of his environment.
